Whip up these treats within minutes to satisfy your sweet tooth!
Run, don’t walk to your pantry to check if you have these simple ingredients.
I don’t know about you, but I always crave dessert after dinner. It doesn’t have to be a giant slice of cake, but just a little something that’s sweet. Isn’t it annoying when you make too much of something and get sick of eating it? That’s why you should make these single-portion microwavable treats! Also, anything with chocolate chips is a yes for me.
Chocolate Chip Cookie Mug Cake
I’ve made this mug cake so many times that it’s uncountable.
What you need to make it:
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp sweet cream butter (unsalted)
¼ tsp pure vanilla extract
2 tbsp milk (remember to heat up!)
3 tbsp all-purpose flour
¼ tsp baking powder (NOT the same as baking soda)
Sprinkle on some chocolate chips (I prefer semi-sweet)
A large mug (the mug cake rises a LOT)
How to make it:
Melt the butter in a mug with the vanilla extract in the microwave.
Mix in the brown sugar.
Warm up milk in the microwave for about 30 seconds.
Add warmed-up milk to the mug and mix. PSA: DO NOT skip the heating of the milk, or else the batter will have lumps of flour.
Mix in the flour and baking powder. Mix in the chocolate chips.
Make sure to use a spatula to ensure there is no unincorporated flour on the sides.
Place the mug in the center of the microwave and warm for 1 minute and 15 seconds. Maybe a little less or a little more depending on your microwave. Just warm until the top has risen and is dry.
Enjoy!!
Single Serving Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
Please tell me that I’m not the only one who loves cookie dough more than the cookies themselves.
What you need to make it:
6 tbsp all-purpose flour
1.5 tbsp sweet cream butter (unsalted)
1 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp white sugar
A pinch of salt (⅛ teaspoon)
2 tbsp milk
2 tbsp chocolate chips (semi-sweet preferred)
How to make it:
In a microwaveable bowl, add flour and microwave for one minute to kill the bacteria in the flour.
Break up clumps of flour with spatula. Pop the bowl into the freezer for 5 minutes.
Add the brown sugar, white sugar, melted butter, milk and salt. Mix until combined.
Add in chocolate chips.
Enjoy!!
